<div>We’re looking for a <b>Principal Power System Studies Engineer </b>to join our T&D Engineering and Consulting team. This remote role is ideal for senior-level professionals with strong experience in power systems modeling and analysis. You’ll lead studies, mentor others, and contribute to the development of best-in-class engineering solutions for clients across North America.</div> <div> </div> <div> <div><b>What You’ll Do:</b></div> <ul> <li>Lead complex studies in power flow, transient stability, short-circuit, electromagnetic transients (EMT), harmonics, and techno-economic areas for transmission, distribution, and generator applications</li> <li>Develop and improve scripting processes to streamline modeling and study execution</li> <li>Guide and support junior engineers, providing technical direction and ensuring deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet client requirements</li> <li>Apply in-depth knowledge of industry standards, system operations, and equipment regulations to solve advanced modeling challenges</li> <li>Manage sensitive technical and commercial information with high confidentiality and ensure compliance with all data agreements</li> <li>Oversee project initiation and closeout processes, tracking scope, deliverables, and hours spent</li> <li>Proactively identify risks related to timelines or budgets and escalate concerns in time for mitigation</li> <li>Facilitate or attend meetings to align with stakeholders, troubleshoot project issues, and support planning efforts</li> <li>Submit accurate and timely time entries to support project accounting and cost recognition</li> <li>Communicate frequently with management about team needs, project goals, and any outstanding items</li> </ul> <div><b>The Experience We’re Looking For:</b></div> <ul> <li>7–12 years of professional experience performing and leading power system studies</li> <li>Proven experience managing and mentoring engineering teams</li> <li>Advanced proficiency with industry-standard modeling tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD, ASPEN, ETAP, PowerFactory)</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to write high-quality reports and conduct technical presentations</li> <li>Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; fluent in English for both written and verbal communication</li> </ul> <div><b>Additional Requirements:</b></div> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience</li> <li>Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests</li> <li>Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record</li> <li>Able to travel 25% or more, including periodic overnight stays</li> <li>Must be flexible to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays based on project demands</li> <li>Visa sponsorship available for qualified U.S.-based candidates</li> </ul> <div><b>Bonus Points for:</b></div> <ul> <li>Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience</li> <li>Engineer-in-Training status or PE license</li> <li>Experience working with ISO/RTO study requirements or interconnection processes</li> <li>Familiarity with scripting and automation in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages</li> <li>Background in techno-economic analysis of power systems</li> <li>Experience presenting to utility boards, regulatory bodies, or major industrial clients</li> </ul> </div> <div style="text-align: center;"><i><b>**We welcome applications from qualified candidates, including those who may require visa sponsorship to work in the United States.**</b></i></div> <div> </div> <div> <div style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.87); font-family: Arimo, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"> <div style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;"><b style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;">Why Join RMS Energy:</b></div> <div style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;">We’re not just another power services company.
