<h3><strong>Position Summary</strong></h3> <p>Teach For All is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategically minded <strong>Director of Philanthropic Partnerships</strong> to expand support for its global work from the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a dynamic role designed for someone who thrives on identifying, cultivating, and securing new high-net-worth individual (HNWI) donors for an inspiring and important cause.</p> <p>The ideal candidate can create an active network within the Bay Area's globally-minded philanthropic circles (tech, venture capital, and international development advocates) and is mission-driven, strategic, and an exceptional communicator who can build relationships and create partnerships with sophisticated entrepreneurs, including those in the next generation of philanthropists. The role will collaborate across Teach For All’s global programmatic and development teams and report directly to the CEO.</p> <h3><strong>About the Team</strong></h3> <p>The Global Development team is responsible for inspiring a global community of supporters and ensuring Teach For All has the financial resources necessary to accomplish our mission and vision. We work to catalyze a global constituency of champions who fuel our work all over the world.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <p><strong>As Director of Philanthropic Partnerships</strong>, your key responsibilities will include:</p> <p><strong>1. Sourcing, Building & Cultivating Relationships (60%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Actively map and prospect the Bay Area High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) landscape for new potential champions for Teach For All and/or our 60+ independent <a href="https://teachforall.org/our-network#networkpartners">network partners</a></li> <li>Leverage your existing network and build new bridges into tech, venture capital, and global philanthropic ecosystems to grow the base of support for our work</li> <li>Build deep, trusting relationships with a diverse range of entrepreneurs and philanthropists, resulting in significant new first-time investments in Teach For All</li> <li>Design and execute creative personalized cultivation strategies, leveraging Teach For All’s CEO, program leadership, network partners and/or current champions</li> </ul> <p><strong>2. Strategic Positioning (40%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conceptualize and execute creative strategies to elevate Teach For All’s profile, positioning the organization as a high-impact philanthropic priority for Bay Area tech leaders, founders and HNWIs</li> <li>Design and curate donor and prospect experiences (e.g. dinners, fireside chats, school visits)</li> <li>Identify and partner with key Bay Area champions to host targeted events, leveraging their personal networks and social capital to grow support for our work</li> <li>Develop new ways to compellingly convey Teach For All’s model, theory of change and impact for Bay Area audiences, articulating it effortlessly in both formal writing and casual conversation</li> <li>Represent Teach For All at events across the Bay Area, sometimes acting as a proxy for our CEO, to grow our organization and network’s visibility</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications </strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bay Area Connected: 10+ years of experience in the Bay Area, with a verifiable network across high net worth sectors</li> <li>New Donor Identification: A proven track record of successfully generating new donor pipelines from scratch, rather than just managing inherited portfolios</li> <li>Relationship Builder: An intuitive reader of people, building trust quickly, navigating elite networks with humility and confidence, and connecting dots that others miss</li> <li>Intellectual Agility: Strong critical thinking skills. Regular travel in the Bay Area will be required.
