Join our cohesive team, where you’ll have numerous chances to enhance your professional development, encompassing both technical and leadership aspects.<br/>You are innovative, driven by engineering excellence and create code that is highly maintainable, testable and easily readable by other team members. You have an ability for understanding overall system architecture and making the appropriate design decisions to get the job done. You possess strong problem-solving skills and you are equally able to work on design and implementation as well as troubleshooting root cause analysis. <strong>About You:</strong><ul><li>You have United States work authorization and currently live in the United States. Upswing does <strong>not </strong>provide US work authorization or sponsorship.</li><li>You are passionate about technology and are excited about being part of a team that makes a positive social impact in higher education.</li><li>You have 1-3 years of experience in front-end, back-end, and relational database programming.</li><li>You possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>You also understand the distinction between striving for excellence and pursuing perfection.</li><li>You enjoy working in a team-based collaborative environment, are proactive and with a strong sense of ownership.</li><li>You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.</li></ul><br/><strong>The Skills You Need:</strong><ul><li>Strong front-end development skills and experience; .NET Blazor experience preferred.</li><li>Strong back-end coding skills using C#, .NET 8 or newer, and REST API development or integration.</li><li>Strong knowledge of relational databases including functions and stored procedures; PostgreSQL experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Solid understanding of OOP, Domain Driven Design, and Continuous Development/Integration.</li><li>Experience and understanding of Docker, developing in containers, and distributing them.</li><li>Understanding of the Google Cloud ecosystem and operations.</li><li>Version and change control experience; GitHub experience preferred.</li><li>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, understanding overall project goals and client needs.</li><li>Strong work ethic and sense of ownership with a constant willingness to learn new technologies.</li><li>Experience working on a software engineering team with business stakeholders such as Product Managers, and other internal stakeholders.</li><li>An ability to translate complicated concepts with many moving parts into a coherent architecture to produce clean, efficient, readable, and maintainable code.</li><li>Strong communication skills that allow you to provide clear feedback during code reviews, and when presenting your own work/ideas.</li></ul><br/><strong>Bonus Skills:</strong><br/><ul><li>Experience with CI/CD in Azure Pipelines.</li><li>Experience working with C# web applications outside of the ASP.NET / Blazor / MAUI ecosystem</li><li>Experience upgrading and maintaining legacy applications to newer technologies.</li><li>Working knowledge of WebRTC, SignalR, and other browser streaming technologies.</li><li>Knowledge of technical authentication integrations using SSO frameworks.</li><li>Higher education and/or EdTech experience.</li></ul>
