<div><p style="margin-left:0in;" data-pasted="true">The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation's leading non-profit organization dedicated to liver health and disease prevention. ALF promotes education, advocacy, support services and research for the prevention, treatment, and cure of liver disease. </p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: </strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;">Responsible for leading and developing a range of programs and initiatives associated with ALF’s Think Liver Think Life (TLTL) Initiative. </p><p style="margin-left:0in;">Think Liver Think Life™ is a national public health campaign which aims to ensure every American understands their risk for liver disease, receives the appropriate screening and care coordination and feels well-informed and supported throughout their liver journey. Focusing on steatotic liver disease and <a href="https://liverfoundation.org/liver-diseases/cancer/" target="_blank">liver</a><a href="https://liverfoundation.org/liver-diseases/cancer/" target="_blank"> cance</a><a href="https://liverfoundation.org/liver-diseases/cancer/" target="_blank">r</a>, the campaign focuses on liver health awareness and education events and local screenings. </p><p style="margin-left:0in;">Recognizing that collaboration with the development department is of utmost importance to ensure ALF’s success, all staff should help in identifying and communicating potential fundraising relationships to development colleagues. </p><p style="margin-left:0in;">This position reports to the National Director, Education and Outreach. </p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></p><ol start="1" type="1"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Strategically represent ALF, its mission, and values to all stakeholders including the general public</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Assists in development of the new TLTL Primary Care outreach program aimed increasing awareness, education and screening for MASLD/MASH in the Primary Care setting.</li></ol><div style="margin-left:0in;"><ol start="3" style="list-style-type: decimal;"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Assists in the development of new educational materials and the microsite for the TLTL Primary Care outreach program</li></ol></div><ol start="4" type="1"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Serves as liaison and develops partnerships between ALF and liver health screening sites, primary care physicians, allied health professionals, medical organizations and/or community health centers across the country</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Assist the National Director, Education and Outreach on projects</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Develop and Implement MASLD/MASH screening initiative methodology including protocols and processes for data collection.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;"><br></li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Design and deliver education and training to medical clinics and/or volunteers</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Design and deliver health education and connection to care services </li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Design and deliver all ALF staff training, clinic coordination and liaison with Sonic Incytes on the Velacur device to implement clinic screening events.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Implement MASLD/MASH screening initiative methodology including protocols and processes for data collection.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ensure MASLD/MASH screenings take place within an established timeline at minimum number of sites</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Determine the educational materials needed and facilitate the distribution of ALF education materials and other resources in a variety of locations and settings. </li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Design and coordinate virtual meetings and programming</li></ol><ol start="11" type="1"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Build relationships to promote the overall TLTL program in assigned states </li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Serve as a liaison between the TLTL Program and ALF Advocates</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Represent the organization through participation in relevant state level cancer control initiatives and other relevant medical related initiatives</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Determine data to collect, analyze new and current data and develop reports. </li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Share fundraising prospect information with national development staff.</li></ol><p style="margin-left:0in;">All other duties as required</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>SUPERVISON:</strong> No direct reports at this time. </p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>POSITION REQUIREMENTS: </strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Master’s degree in health education, Public Health, Community Health or other closely related health degree </li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Fluent in English. Spanish, both verbal and written, preferred.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">CHES® preferred.</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Experience/Skills/Knowledge: </strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0in;">3 years of experience in health education.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">2 years of experience in a health care setting with Electronic Health Record experience</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Knowledge of health issues, public health, and liver disease.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ability and willingness to learn complex medical information.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Experience in executing health screening initiatives (preferred)</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Experience collecting and analyzing data</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ability to maintain relationships with health professionals. </li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ability to launch and manage projects to completion.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ability to communicate effectively with patient populations</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Ability to manage crisis situations and exercise sound judgment.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Excellent interpersonal skills.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail and quality of work product.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. </li></ul><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Work Environment: </strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0in;">This is a fully remote position. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Expected travel is up to 30%. </li></ul><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds. Work will be conducted in indoor and outdoor environments during all seasons.</li></ul></div>
