Virtual school paraeducators are part of a pioneering effort.<br><br><br><strong>Summary:</strong><br>Under the direction of an administrator, and in cooperation with a credentialed education specialist, this position performs duties necessary to assist in providing specialized academic instruction to students in our special education program.<br><br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br>&bull; Maintain high expectations for all students and a deep belief that all students can learn</p><p>&bull; Facilitates small group SAI live instruction as implementation of students&rsquo; IEP plans under the supervision of an administrator and in cooperation with a credentialed education specialist</p><p>&bull; Participates in preparation of learning materials</p><p>&bull; Assist education specialist in monitoring and collecting student performance data and other IEP input</p><p>&bull; Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials and/or skills introduced and outlined by teaching staff</p><p>&bull; Provide support for students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in educational activities</p><p>&bull; When requested, serves as a resource person to various teams (e.g. IEP, Title 1, ESL)</p><p>&bull; Attend necessary training sessions associated with individual students as required by student IEP (e.g. medical procedures, IEP meetings, etc.)</p><p>&bull; Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback</p><p>&bull; Model a personal code of ethics aligned with IQ&rsquo;s policies</p><p>&bull; Maintains necessary records</p><p>&bull; Uses direction from special education administrative team to carry out duties</p><p>&bull; Other duties as assigned<br><br><br><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Have at least one of the following:</p><p>1.
