At its center is a data-centric philosophy grounded in a simple conviction: that better data, made accessible, connected, and usable, is the raw material of better decisions, better care, and better efficiency.</p><p>Requirements</p><p>We are seeking a Sr. Advisor to guide the company’s strategy across CMS. The Sr. Advisor will advise leadership on the agency’s current strategies and direction, which could include digital quality measurement and the transition to dQMs, value-based care, payment innovation, Medicare Advantage oversight and payment accuracy, program integrity, Medicaid and marketplace integrity, and the agency’s expanding use of AI</p><ul><li>Help set and guide the company’s vision for impactful approaches and solutions across CMS, grounded in the agency’s mission, priorities, and operational needs</li><li>Advise leadership on CMS strategy, including which centers, programs, and problem sets represent the strongest fit for Commence capabilities</li><li>Translate CMS policy direction, budget, rulemaking, and organizational change into concrete implications for the health and technology portfolio strategy</li><li>Guide development of white papers, RFI responses, and thought leadership that position Commence as valuable contributor to agency priorities</li><li>Build and steward relationships across the CMS ecosystem, including research organizations, associations.</li><li>Advise delivery leadership on client expectations and program stewardship so that performance on current work reinforces desired outcomes</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>10 or more years in federal health care, including service at CMS in a senior leadership capacity such as center or office leadership, group or division direction, senior executive service, or an equivalent role</li><li>Deep working knowledge of CMS programs which could include: Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, quality programs, program integrity and payment innovation, and of how the centers and offices interact to set and execute priorities</li><li>Advanced degree in public health, health policy, economics, public administration, law, or a related field preferred</li></ul><p><strong>*Commence' headquarters are in Virginia Beach, VA, however we are open to remote candidates in the following states: AZ, AR,</strong> <strong>CO,</strong> <strong>DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MS, MO, MT, NC, NE, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, DC, WI, and WV*</strong> <strong>Work Environment/Physical Demands</strong> </p><p><br/>The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
