We don't take Google's recommendations at face value; we have the data and experience to know what actually works, and we'll teach you how to think that way too.</p><p>This is a fully remote position. You can work from anywhere in the US.</p><p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p><p dir="ltr">Owns the technical backbone of our marketing systems: tagging, tracking, and platform integrations across Digital Advertising, CRM, and Local SEO. Builds and troubleshoots tracking infrastructure so every team can trust the data it's working from. Mid-level role (2&ndash;5 years of experience) with room to grow into a more senior technical specialist as scope expands. Other responsibilities include:</p><ul dir="ltr"><li>Builds, maintains, and audits Google Tag Manager (GTM) containers across client accounts: tags, triggers, and variables.</li><li>Implements conversion tracking across ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Bing) and troubleshoots tracking issues as they arise.</li><li>Configures and maintains Meta event tracking for accurate, resilient server-side event tracking.</li><li>Diagnoses and resolves tagging discrepancies, tracking gaps, and data quality issues; escalates platform-level bugs when needed.</li><li>Builds and maintains integrations between CRM systems and ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta) so lead and sales data flows accurately in both directions.</li><li>Manages broader ad platform integrations, including call tracking and other connected data sources.</li><li>Partners with the SEM/PPC, CRM, and Local SEO teams to ensure tracking supports accurate attribution and reporting.</li><li>Audits and builds out tracking infrastructure during new client onboarding.</li><li>QAs tracking implementations before campaign launches to catch issues proactively, not after the fact.</li><li>Documents tracking setups, integration configurations, and troubleshooting steps for the team's shared reference.</li><li>Works with the team to improve and maintain tracking and configuration best practices across platforms.</li><li>Stays current on ad platform pixel, API, and privacy changes (e.g., Meta CAPI, GA4, iOS/consent updates) and flags impacts to the broader team.</li></ul><p><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li>2-5 years of hands-on experience in marketing technology, with real work in Google Tag Manager (not just familiarity, actual container builds and troubleshooting)</li><li>Experience implementing conversion tracking across ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Bing) and diagnosing tracking issues when they break</li><li>Some exposure to server-side tracking or Meta CAPI, or a strong willingness to get fluent in it quickly</li><li>Experience with at least one CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and connecting CRM data to ad platforms</li><li>Comfort managing tracking across multiple client accounts at once; this is an agency environment, and juggling different setups, stakeholders, and priorities is part of the job</li><li>A troubleshooting mindset.
