<p>Description</p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled <strong>network systems developer</strong> to help build next-generation software-defined networking technology used in <strong>industrial and operational technology (OT) environments</strong>.</p><p>This role involves developing <strong>low-level network control software</strong>, interacting directly with switches, controllers, and packet processing frameworks.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design and implement <strong>SDN control and data-plane software</strong></li><li>Develop high-performance networking services in <strong>C and Rust</strong></li><li>Implement and extend <strong>OpenFlow-based control systems</strong></li><li>Build software that interacts with <strong>switch ASICs, flow tables, and packet pipelines</strong></li><li>Develop packet inspection and protocol analysis capabilities</li><li>Optimize network performance, latency, and deterministic behavior</li><li>Work closely with cybersecurity and OT networking teams to implement <strong>deterministic network policy enforcement</strong></li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p> </p><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong development experience in <strong>C and/or Rust</strong></li><li>Deep knowledge of <strong>network protocols and packet processing</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>OpenFlow or SDN controller architectures</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>switch-level networking or programmable pipelines</strong></li><li>Understanding of <strong>TCP/IP, L2/L3 switching, VLANs, routing, and flow control</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Linux or BSD networking stacks</strong></li><li>Experience debugging packet flows using tools such as <strong>tcpdump, Wireshark, or similar</strong></li></ul><p><strong> Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Development involving <strong>programmable switches (P4, eBPF, DPDK, or similar frameworks)</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>industrial networking or OT environments</strong></li><li>Knowledge of <strong>deterministic networking, time-sensitive networking (TSN), or PTP</strong></li><li>Experience building <strong>SDN controllers or network policy engines</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>cybersecurity controls for industrial networks</strong></li></ul><p><strong> Ideal Candidate</strong></p><p>You enjoy working close to the network stack and solving problems involving <strong>packet behavior, deterministic control, and switch-level logic</strong>.
