Combining engineering disciplines with advanced modeling and reconstruction tools, the team supports investigations and proactive design efforts that improve safety and decision-making.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Key Responsibilities (What you&rsquo;ll do)</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Lead and manage technology consulting projects within the ESi railroad practice and lead associated staff and contractors.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Serve in an individual contributor capacity of developing and reviewing software code and conducting technology development and evaluation.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Provide technology consulting services to rail clients including the implementation of automation and artificial intelligence.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Prepare and deliver technical reports, proposals, and client presentations.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Develop new technology solutions including building presentations and presenting to rail clients.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">As-needed travel to client and ESi sites to accomplish objectives.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth and technical advancement of the Rail Practice.</li></ul><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Education / Certifications / Licenses Required&nbsp;</strong></p><div style="margin-left:0in;"><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical, Software, Computer, or related engineering is require</li></ul></div><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Experience Required</strong></p><div style="margin-left:0in;"><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li style="margin-left:0in;">10+ years of professional experience in developing technologies utilized in the rail industry.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Software development experience inclusive of design, coding, and reviewing others code in languages such as C++ and Python.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Experience working with machine vision, LIDAR, and other sensor data.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering projects and teams.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present to clients and technical audiences.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Other Technical &amp; Non-Technical Skills&nbsp;</strong></p><div style="margin-left:0in;"><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li style="margin-left:0in;">Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Software programming skills in languages such as C++ and Python.&nbsp;</li><li style="margin-left:0in;">Intermediate/advanced skills in LLM use and application with software code.</li></ul></div><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>What We Can Offer You</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;">We believe great work happens when people feel supported, challenged, and trusted. Total compensation includes a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity, with final pay determined by job-related factors such as experience, qualifications, individual performance, and overall company performance.</p><p style="margin-left:0in;">After internal discussions and market research, the current pay band for this opportunity is $100,000 to $160,000</p><p style="margin-left:0in;"><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p style="margin-left:0in;">This role requires frequently sitting or standing for extended periods of time and occasionally lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, with infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds. The work regularly requires bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and maintaining balance.
