That’s why we have a diverse team of experienced professionals to offer a broad range of services. </p><p>As a Hospice Chaplain with Madrona Hospice Care, you will provide spiritual care directly and partner with community clergy to ensure every person we serve receives compassionate, personalized support — whatever their faith or tradition.</p><p>We value teamwork, empathy, and a commitment to high-quality service, all aimed at putting patients and their families at ease during their transition. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in patients' lives and working in a supportive and family-oriented atmosphere, we encourage you to join us in providing exceptional home hospice care.</p><p>Please note that this role is per diem with a rate of $40 - $50 per visit.</p><p></p>Responsibilities<ul><li>Offer direct spiritual care to patients and their families, and coordinate care with community chaplains and counselors.</li><li>Complete spiritual assessments and help shape each patient’s individualized plan of care.</li><li>Serve as a collaborative member of the interdisciplinary team — attending care conferences and offering guidance on spiritual matters.</li><li>Document your visits and keep records that support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Build relationships with local congregations to recruit and support chaplains, counselors, and volunteers.</li><li>Lead funeral and memorial services for patients when requested, and plan periodic memorials for our staff, volunteers, and community partners.</li><li>Help supervise spiritual care volunteers assigned to patients and families.</li></ul> <ul><li>A graduate degree from an accredited seminary or school of theology (M.Div., B.D., or equivalent).</li><li>Experience supporting individuals and families through death and dying.</li><li>Comfort and genuine openness in interfaith settings — welcoming all lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.</li><li>A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive on an interdisciplinary team.</li><li>Strong connections (or the desire to build them) with community clergy and congregations.</li><li>Commitment to the hospice philosophy of care.</li><li>A valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.</li></ul><p></p><p>Nice to have: Prior hospice experience.</p> <ul><li>Flexible Schedule</li><li>Ability to Convert to Full-Time Based On Performance If Interested </li><li>Paid Sick Days</li></ul><ul><li>Paid Bereavement Leave</li><li>Skills Training &amp; Development</li><li>Company Social Events</li><li>Mileage Reimbursement for Patient to Patient Visits</li><li>Referral Bonus</li></ul>
