It involves using Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, monitoring, and collaboration with global teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance.<br><br><strong>Work Authorization</strong> – This position is open to U.S. Citizens only. Visa sponsorship, including for Permanent Residents, is not available for this role. </div><div> <strong><br>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </div><ul> <li>Develop and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud-hosted platform to meet established SLAs while supporting the rollout of new software releases and maintenance updates. </li> <li>Work with technology from leading cloud providers like GCP, understanding and utilizing their unique native services in deployments. </li> <li>Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for the design, deployment, and management of secure and compliant enterprise servers, network infrastructure, and cloud architectures. </li> <li>Engage with highly collaborative cross-functional globally distributed teams on troubleshooting issues, providing insights for automation, and influencing architectural decisions. </li> <li>Coordinate with Cloud and Engineering team members, and other stakeholders to build, monitor, and maintain a secure cloud-hosted infrastructure via automation in both production and non-production environments. </li> <li>Configure and tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance of the Boeing Cloud. </li> <li>Design, build, and maintain environment-specific alerts and dashboards via analytics tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring. </li> <li>Monitor and resolve site stability and performance issues, including incident management and post-mortem analysis. </li> <li>Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance. </li> </ul><div> <strong><br>Required Qualifications</strong> <br><br> </div><ul> <li>Required to be a US citizen. </li> <li>5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab, specifically in GCP environments.</li> <li>5+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li> <li>Strong experience in designing cloud architectures on GCP, including multi-cloud strategies and microservices architecture.</li> <li>Understanding of GCP networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.</li> <li>Knowledge of GCP security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.</li> <li>Proficiency in GCP monitoring and logging tools, such as Google Cloud Operations Suite and Google Security Command Center, for monitoring system performance, security and health.</li> <li>Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for automating tasks within GCP</li> </ul><div><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions specific to GCP environments.</li></ul> </div> <p>This is a remote position.</p>
