<h2>Position Summary</h2> <p>The Director of Capture Management is a senior growth leader responsible for driving disciplined, high-impact capture strategies across large, complex Defense pursuits. Unlike a player–coach role, this position is not responsible for holding individual captures, but instead for leading, developing, and enabling a team of Capture Managers. This leader provides strategic oversight, capture governance, competitive insight, and executive guidance from early shaping through proposal submission.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p>Duties include, but not limited to: </p> <h2>Leadership & Team Development</h2> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Capture Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.</li> <li>Establish and enforce standards for capture discipline, rigor, and quality across the full pursuit lifecycle.</li> <li>Provide strategic coaching on competitive positioning, customer insight, teaming strategy, and solution shaping.</li> <li>Introduce innovative capture methodologies, tools, and best practices that elevate functional performance.</li> </ul> <h2>Capture Management Execution</h2> <ul> <li>Oversee end-to-end execution of major captures through governance, not individual ownership.</li> <li>Ensure Capture Managers execute against consistent processes aligned to corporate priorities.</li> <li>Guide early shaping activities including customer engagement strategies and win-theme development.</li> </ul> <h2>Strategic Growth & Market Alignment</h2> <ul> <li>Ensure capture activities align with enterprise strategy and market trends.</li> <li>Identify emerging mission needs and competitive shifts requiring early shaping.</li> <li>Support development of differentiated solutions and teaming strategies.</li> </ul> <h2>Collaboration & Internal Alignment</h2> <ul> <li>Partner with BD, Operations, Proposals, Marketing and Technology Center to ensure seamless pursuit progression.</li> <li>Contribute to maturing BD and Capture processes for Full & Open competition.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <p><strong>Citizenship: Must be a US citizen</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>: </strong>Ability to achieve TS/SCI</p> <p><strong>Education: </strong></p> <p><strong>Years of Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in Capture, BD, Program Management, or related roles.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership of Capture Managers or capture teams.</li> <li>Deep understanding of DoD acquisition processes and competitive dynamics.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Certifications: </strong></p> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>: </strong>TS/SCI</p> <p><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor's or higher degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience and success record</p> <p><strong>Years of experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience leading major Defense program captures.</li> <li>Experience in digital modernization, cyber, engineering, or mission support solutions.</li> <li>Experience supporting transition from Small Business to Full & Open competition.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>Technical Skills</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in Capture, BD, Program Management, or related roles.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership of Capture Managers or capture teams.</li> <li>Deep understanding of DoD acquisition processes and competitive dynamics</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Exceptional verbal and written communication </li> <li>Growth mindset and ability to execute in a high-growth organization with evolving processes and dynamics </li> <li>Collaboration within the direct team and across the company</li> <li>Humble and inquisitive</li> <li>Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset</li> <li>Aligned to Odyssey's core values of Commitment, Ambition and Respect</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>Additional Information</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Remote</p> <p><strong>Travel: </strong>25-50%</p> <p><strong>Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: </strong>Remote</p> <p> </p> <p>#LI-MP1</p> <h2>Company Overview</h2> <p><strong>Odyssey Systems </strong>is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
