Senior Product Manager at Sapience AI Corporation
United States
$180k - $190k
<p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Sapience AI is the collective intelligence platform for professional communities. We sit above the CRMs, AMS platforms, and knowledge bases that organizations already run, and we turn the expertise scattered across them into something every member can search, act on, and share.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The intelligence a community needs is already inside it. Most organizations just cannot reach it. Knowledge lives in silos, in legacy systems, in the heads of a few experts, and in fragmented records no one can connect. We change that.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Our work is grounded in four commitments: technology elevates people and never replaces them, the best expertise is already inside the community, everything is built on trust, and every deployment is purpose-driven for the organization it serves.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Let’s achieve more, together.</span></strong></p> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Where this role sits</strong></span></h1> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This role owns a product area end to end. Where the product marketer is the market lens, you are the person accountable for what we build, how it works, and whether it ships and succeeds.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and applied AI specialists to turn strategy into a product members rely on. You own the roadmap for your area, the decisions inside it, and the outcomes it produces.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You work at the center of the product organization, translating a clear point of view into shipped work that moves MINERVA and the COGENT architecture forward through each GR/GA milestone.</span></p> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Why this role exists</strong></span></h1> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In an AI market where capabilities can be copied in weeks, the advantage goes to teams that decide well and ship fast. Someone has to hold the point of view, make the calls, and keep a team building the right thing.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collective intelligence is hard product work: reasoning over messy knowledge, earning member trust, and fitting into how communities already operate. It needs an owner who can hold both the ambition and the details.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Senior Product Manager is that owner. You set direction for your area, make the hard prioritization calls, and are accountable for whether the product succeeds with the people it serves.</span></p> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What you will own (Areas of Responsibility)</strong></span></h1> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You hold eight areas of responsibility inside the product organization. Each one is yours to set direction on, build, and measure.</span></p> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>1. Product strategy and roadmap ownership</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Own the strategy and roadmap for your product area, grounded in member needs, market evidence, and company goals.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Make clear prioritization calls, and protect the roadmap from reactive churn.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Sequence work so each release builds toward a strategy, not a list of features.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>2. Discovery and definition</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Run discovery with members, buyers, and internal experts to understand the real problem before committing to a solution.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Write clear definitions of what to build and why, including the assumptions and the bet behind each one.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Validate early and often, so the team learns fast and adjusts faster.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>3. Delivery and execution</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Lead a cross-functional team through delivery, unblocking decisions and keeping momentum.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Own trade-offs on scope, quality, and time, and make them explicit.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ship reliably, and hold a clear bar for what launch-ready means.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>4. AI product judgment</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Make sound calls about where AI helps, where it fails, and how to design for its limits.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Design for trust: provenance, guardrails, and honest handling of uncertainty in what the platform tells members.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with applied AI and research to turn capability into dependable product behavior.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>5. Member trust and outcomes</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Keep member value and trust at the center of every decision.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Define the outcomes your area is accountable for, and measure them honestly.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Own adoption and time-to-value, not just shipped features.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>6. Metrics, instrumentation, and learning</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Instrument your area so you can tell whether a bet is working.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Turn signals into decisions, and shorten the distance from learning to change.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Run experiments where the answer is genuinely uncertain.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>7. Cross-functional alignment</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Align engineering, design, product marketing, and operations around a shared plan and a shared point of view.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Communicate clearly across the company, up and sideways, so people know what is happening and why.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Partner with the product marketer as the market lens, and with go-to-market on launch readiness.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>8. Roadmap for platform capability</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Advance the underlying platform capability your area depends on, in partnership with platform and architecture teams.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Balance customer-facing value with the durable investments MINERVA and COGENT need.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Help steer the platform through GR and GA milestones with a clear view of what each unlocks.</span></li> </ul> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>AI-augmented ways of working</strong></span></h1> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">AI is embedded in how you work, from discovery through delivery. You use AI to synthesize research, draft definitions, analyze signals, and explore options, then apply the judgment that turns those outputs into sound product decisions.</span></p> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The standard is human in partnership: AI accelerates the work, you own the judgment, the interpretation, and the call. The people who create the most value here are not the ones producing the most output. They are the ones turning evidence into clear, durable decisions.</span></p> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What this role is not</strong></span></h1> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">To keep the boundary clear:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>This is not a product marketing role. </strong>You partner with the market lens, but you own delivery, the roadmap, and the outcomes of your area.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>This is not a project-management-only role. </strong>You own strategy and hard calls, not just coordination and timelines.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>This is not an engineering management role. </strong>You lead the product direction, while engineering leadership owns the team and craft.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>This is not a feature-factory role. </strong>You are accountable for outcomes and member trust, not a count of shipped features.</span></li> </ul> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>What success looks like</strong></span></h1> <p style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">We measure this role on outcomes the team can see:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Right bets, shipped. </strong>Your area builds the right thing more often, and it ships.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Member value. </strong>Members reach value faster, and adoption in your area grows over time.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>A clear point of view. </strong>Your team shares a direction that holds up under pressure.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Trustworthy AI. </strong>The product handles uncertainty honestly, and members trust what it tells them.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Fast learning. </strong>The distance from signal to decision keeps getting shorter in your area.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Durable platform. </strong>Your work advances MINERVA and COGENT, not just the surface.</span></li> </ul> <h1 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Who you are</strong></span></h1> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Required qualifications</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Six or more years in product management, with a track record of owning a product area end to end.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience shipping AI or ML products, with sound judgment about their strengths and limits.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">A record of setting strategy, making hard prioritization calls, and delivering outcomes.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong discovery and validation instincts with real members and buyers.</span></li> <li 12pt;">Analytical rigor with product metrics and the judgment to separate signal from noise.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership.</span></li> </ul> <h2 style="line-height: 1;"><em><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></span></em></h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You lead with the member and name the real problem before the solution.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You hold a clear, bold point of view and defend it with evidence.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You make hard calls, own them, and keep the team moving.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You treat trust and honesty about AI’s limits as first-order.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You communicate clearly and bring people with you.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">You treat learning as the job and
