This individual is responsible for management and technical integration of supplier projects supporting the Natrium Project in conjunction with the Contract Administrator and Technical Representative.</p> <p><strong>Tasks</strong></p> <ul> <li>The SPE acts in a project management capacity for supplier performance management and oversight.</li> <li>The SPE will apply classic project management tools to oversee suppliers including cost, schedule, submittal oversight, and resources.</li> <li>Key collaborator with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier</li> <li>Develop statements of work (SOW) and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives</li> <li>Facilitate supplier selection activities for the request for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the entire bid, evaluate, and award phase</li> <li>Provide direction and oversight of supplier projects, working with the Contract Administrator to ensure delivery of contract deliverables</li> <li>Manage technical interfaces between supplier projects and TerraPower’s technical team</li> <li>Provide support to contract administration and commercial activities as needed to implement projects</li> <li>Manage the submittal process between the supplier and TerraPower Team including the coordination of the review process for supplier deliverables and ensuring appropriate responses and disposition</li> <li>Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes, and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Natrium</li> <li>Provide supplier oversight during regularly scheduled and impromptu visits to supplier locations as determined by project</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Qualifications and Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technical degree preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required.</li> <li>10 or more years of experience in supplier oversight required</li> <li>PMP certification preferred or equivalent training</li> <li>Prefer 3-5 years of manufacturing oversight</li> <li>Understanding of manufacturing travelers, welding, and similar manufacturing processes</li> <li>Experience defining supplier work scope to include development of SOWs, RFPs and providing direction and oversight of supplier projects required</li> <li>Demonstrated skills in management of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments</li> <li>Demonstrated skills in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships</li> <li>Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities</li> <li>Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same</li> <li>A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important</li> <li>Strong communication skills desired</li> <li>The SPE will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, be respectful of others, demonstrate a desire to foster teamwork, and deliver on the mission.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Functions:</strong></p> <p>Job Functions are physical actions and/or working conditions associated with the position.
