This leader will serve as a trusted business partner to executive leadership, operations, sales, and accounting, providing financial insights that drive profitable growth while ensuring financial integrity. This position can be remote for individuals that have a demonstrated track record of FP&A in Group and Individual Benefits.</p><p>The ideal candidate possesses a strong FP&A foundation coupled with deep knowledge of insurance brokerage operations, including employee benefits, individual insurance products, commission revenue, carrier relationships, and the accounting implications of operational decisions. This role requires someone who can bridge finance and operations, translating business activity into meaningful financial analysis and actionable recommendations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Strategic Financial Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for the Group and Individual Benefits.</li><li>Develop financial models that support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, investments, and operational improvements.</li><li>Partner with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.</li><li>Provide financial guidance for growth initiatives, new products, and market expansion.</li></ul><p><strong>Business Partnership</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary finance partner to Benefits Operations, Sales Leadership, Account Management, and Executive Leadership.</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of operational workflows, carrier relationships, commission structures, enrollment cycles, and client service models.</li><li>Translate operational metrics into financial performance indicators.</li><li>Influence decision-making through insightful analysis and data-driven recommendations.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Planning & Analysis</strong></p><ul><li>Lead monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.</li><li>Develop KPIs and dashboards measuring:<ul><li>Revenue by line of business</li><li>Commission alignment between operational activity and financial results.</li><li>Understand revenue recognition, commission accounting, accruals, deferred revenue, carrier settlements, producer compensation, and benefits administration impacts.</li><li>Ensure planning assumptions align with GAAP and internal accounting policies.</li><li>Support month-end and quarter-end close through financial analysis and career experience in Group and Individual Health Benefits.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.</li><li>MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.</li><li>10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial leadership.</li><li>5+ years managing high-performing finance teams.</li><li>Experience within an insurance brokerage, employee benefits, health insurance, or financial services organization strongly preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise
