We offer our staff diverse opportunities for professional and personal development that will help them reinforce a sense of purpose while serving children and communities across the world. We welcome everyone who wants to belong and grow in a diverse and passionate culture., coupled with an attractive compensation and benefits package.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Visit <a href="https://www.unicef.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">our website</a> to learn more about what we do at UNICEF.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>For every child, <em>the right to Nutrition </em></strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>How can you make a difference? </strong></span></p> <h2><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">The purpose of this consultancy is to strengthen the availability, quality, harmonization and use of nutrition data for global analysis, reporting and decision-making, while establishing the data foundations needed to progressively leverage automation and artificial intelligence (AI) for nutrition data management, analysis and visualization.</span></h2> <div style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">UNICEF is strengthening its capacity to systematically consolidate, manage and analyse nutrition data to generate timely and robust evidence for programme decision-making, advocacy, resource mobilization and global reporting. Currently, however, relevant nutrition information remains fragmented across multiple sources, formats and systems, limiting the ability to conduct systematic analyses across countries and contexts.</span></div> <div style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">To address this gap, the consultancy will support the development and strengthening of two complementary, consolidated and harmonized nutrition databases.</span></div> <div style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• The first will focus on nutrition assessments and situation data, systematically compiling results from SMART surveys, IPC Acute Malnutrition (IPC AMN) analyses and other relevant nutrition assessments. It will provide a structured repository of historical and current information on the nutrition situation, with appropriate geographic and temporal disaggregation to facilitate country, subnational and trend analyses.</span></div> <div style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">• The second will focus on wasting programming data, building on existing NutriDash databases and integrating information from other relevant sources. It will consolidate historical data on SAM and MAM burden estimates, programme targets—including those from HACs and HNRPs—and key programme monitoring indicators, such as admissions, programme performance, routine screening and service coverage. Together, these data will enable more systematic analysis of needs, targets, reach, coverage and programme performance over time and across countries and contexts.</span></div> <div style="text-align: justify"> </div> <div style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><em><u>Scope of Work</u></em></span></div> <ul style="text-align: justify"> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Development of a Comprehensive Wasting Programming Database</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Development of a Nutrition Assessments Database</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Leadership and Technical Contribution to the GRFC – Nutrition Component</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Contribution to the CNR 2027 – Wasting Programming</span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><em>If you would like to know more about this consultancy, please review the complete TOR here: <img src="https://static.pageuppeople.com/static/people/icons/icon_file_small.gif" alt="Download File"> <a href="https://secure.dc7.pageuppeople.com/apply/TransferRichTextFile.ashx?sData=UFUtVjMtqVc9SWvtLrnDW5Gs7sEouNrydug9d1x-Ecr8eCFPImwsoD6ZK0B0t5GoMNGRti52d6UlvPhyOHXe_QVBJm8Hi_57rAWrU_-eaItYnX0ZODf8TsHpVz5fsbdvEWJBRLa7qqiGNJIOiLxZVK_8osf0yQ%7e%7e">TOR TMC0003267.pdf</a></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… </strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><em><u>Minimum requirements:</u></em></strong></span></p> <ul style="text-align: justify"> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Education:  </strong>Master's in Nutrition, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or related field</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Work Experience: </strong>Minimum 8 years’ experience working in Nutrition, especially on Nutrition information management and NIS</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proven experience with data management and database development</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong experience with analysing or conducting: Nutrition surveys and IPC AMN analyses</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proven experience with Excel and other statistical softwares (R, Stata, Python, etc.)</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Demonstrated experience contributing to the Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) and related nutrition analyses.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong style="font-size: 11pt"><em>Language Requirements: </em></strong>• Fluency in English</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong style="font-size: 11pt"><em>Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:</em></strong> Strong analytical and data management skills</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Attention to detail and data quality</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to synthesize complex information</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Excellent writing and presentation skills</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proven ability to work independently and deliver results</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong style="font-size: 11pt"><em><u>Desirables: </u></em></strong> Prior experience working with UNICEF is an asset</span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><em><strong>For every Child, you demonstrate...</strong></em></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">UNICEF’s Core Values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability and Sustainability (CRITAS) underpin everything we do and how we do it.
