Our team brings a whole community approach, compassionate guidance and decades of hands-on experience to best embody our core values: competent, caring, and connected.</p><p>The position will be guided by ACDC’s Corporate Values Platform in all activities.</p><p>Position Summary:</p><ul><li>Job Title: Individual Assistance Case Managers &amp; Leads</li></ul><ul><li>Full Time/Part Time/PRN: Full-time</li><li>Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-exempt</li><li>Temporary/Seasonal/Regular: Temporary</li><li>Hourly/Salary: Hourly</li><li>Compensation: $25-30</li><li>Travel/Location: Local to Spokane area</li></ul><p></p><p>Mission of Role/Position Summary:</p><p>The Emergency Management Case Manager &amp; Leads will provide compassionate, survivor-centered case management services that empower individuals and families affected by disasters to navigate available assistance programs, overcome recovery barriers, and achieve safe, sustainable recovery through coordinated support, resource advocacy, and community partnerships.</p><p></p><p>Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:</p><p>Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:</p><ul><li>Work as a part of the Case Management team and perform all duties as assigned.</li><li>Attend meetings and conference calls with clients and homeowners</li><li>Attend training on program requirements and apply all policies and procedures as required. </li><li>Manage individual workload of case management. </li><li>Ensure productivity, and communications that enable accurate, efficient, and compliant program processing and tracking. </li><li>Understand program needs, policies, departmental process flows, and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Review records for inconsistencies, investigate and resolve issues with analysis and customer service skills.</li><li>Communicate, resolve, and escalate problems and concerns according to proper protocols.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.  </li></ul><p> </p><p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information. </li><li>Capable of multi-tasking when necessary. </li><li>Strong familiarity with state and local governments is necessary. </li><li>Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.</li></ul><p></p><p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p><p>This role will not have supervisory responsibility.</p><p>Expected Hours of Work:</p><p>Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.</p><p>Travel Requirements:</p><ul><li>Up to 25% travel is expected for this position.</li><li>Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time.</li></ul><p>Physical Demands:</p><ul><li>Mobility required on-site with clients.</li><li>Sitting or standing for hours at a time.</li><li>Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed.</li><li>Ability to manipulate up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.</li></ul><p>Working Environment:</p><ul><li>Emergency management personnel may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions.</li><li>Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings.</li><li>All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire.</li><li>If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes.</li></ul><p>Workplace Health &amp; Safety: </p><p>We are committed to fostering a safe and healthy workplace. Employees are expected to champion a culture of safety by complying with all health and safety policies and procedures, completing required training, identifying and reporting hazards, exercising sound judgment, and taking reasonable care to protect the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues, clients, and the communities we serve.</p> <p>Experience/Education Required:</p><ul><li>At least one year of professional case management, social services, emergency management, or disaster recovery experience.</li><li>At least one year experience documenting client services and maintaining confidential records.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><p>Experience/Education Preferred:</p><ul><li>Associate degree or higher in social services</li><li>Case management experience with housing program</li><li>At least one year FEMA HMA grant experience</li></ul><p>Additional Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required.
