At the core of Karat’s system are live, expert-led interviews, analytics designed to give leaders maximum visibility, and the most robust interview performance dataset in the world.</p></div><h2><strong>Come join our Communications team</strong></h2> <p>Our Communications team is committed to sharpening how the market understands Karat; we build the channels, campaigns, and executive presence that position Karat as the definitive measure of talent.</p> <h3><strong>What you will do</strong></h3> <p>As Senior Director, Communications at Karat, you will own the company's entire communications function, spanning external, internal, executive, and crisis communications, and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team.</p> <ul> <li>Set and evolve Karat's integrated communications strategy, advising the CEO and leadership team on narrative, messaging, timing, and stakeholder impact.</li> <li>Own media relations end-to-end, building proactive relationships with journalists and producers across business, technology, workplace, and trade press.</li> <li>Develop integrated campaigns with Product Marketing and Demand Generation that turn thought leadership, research, and product milestones into stories that break through.</li> <li>Build and run the CEO's platform across social, the company blog, earned media, and speaking opportunities, including the executive editorial calendar.</li> <li>Lead internal and executive communications for major company moments, keeping employee-facing and external narratives aligned.</li> <li>Guide crisis and issues communications, coordinating response across Legal, People, Sales, and Marketing as needed.</li> <li>Manage our PR agency and other communications partners to measurable outcomes, tracking KPIs across earned media, executive visibility, and employee understanding.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>The experience you will bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>15+ years of progressive communications experience spanning media relations, corporate, executive, and internal/change communications</li> <li>Significant in-house experience at a high-growth technology or B2B company navigating rapid growth</li> <li>A track record of building journalist relationships and securing high-quality earned coverage</li> <li>Demonstrated success developing narratives and campaigns that connect strategy, product, and industry conversation</li> <li>Experience building executive platforms and coaching executives for media, speaking engagements, and high-stakes moments</li> <li>Exceptional writing and editorial judgment, from executive social content to all-hands remarks</li> <li>Experience guiding communications through periods of growth or high-stakes change, with discretion and sound judgment</li> <li>Experience managing PR agencies or communications partners to measurable outcomes</li> <li>Fluency in how AI is reshaping hiring, talent assessment, and workforce planning, a plus</li> </ul> <h3>Curious what's driving this role right now?
