<h2>Department Overview</h2> <p>The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position will be part of a dynamic, energetic and collaborative team that supports the organization in the use of data and information to further OHSU’s mission to strive for excellence in education, research and scholarship, clinical practice and community service. Members of the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (BIAA) team work to apply knowledge and best practices to assist end users in leveraging BI Tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, etc.) to analyze enterprise data for informed decision making throughout the organization. </p> <h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2> <p><strong>System/Business Analysis</strong></p> <ul> <li>Propose, facilitate and document modifications to existing business processes and operational workflows.</li> <li>Use the knowledge gained by working with business partners and through prior experience to analyze data in enterprise applications including Oracle EBS, Epic and Banner in order to meet reporting requirements. </li> <li>Conducts customer meetings to obtain system definition and design approvals or develop system or workflow interfaces, and requirements gathering.</li> <li>Designs, develops and documents new applications and systems or clinical/operational workflows.</li> <li>Analyzes present and future system needs of customers and makes recommendations on options and alternatives for implementing applications and systems or processes.</li> <li>Designs, develops and documents modifications to existing applications and systems.</li> <li>Assumes project coordination responsibilities for small projects or sub-projects within a larger project.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Data Validation/Quality Assurance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure data integrity and validity of applications and systems.</li> <li>Ensure that proper quality assurance standards are applied throughout the software development process.</li> <li>Work with assigned departments to document user-friendly testing of system/interface requirements, make design recommendations to meet quality assurance requirements and project schedule.</li> <li>Assist and/or develop test cases and scripts and thoroughly test fixes, enhancements, and patches prior to release into user testing.</li> <li>Document and communicate preliminary testing results.</li> <li>Develops test plans and conducts testing.</li> <li>Translate technical specifications and requirements into informative, user-friendly test plans for end-user acceptance testing.</li> <li>Tests vendor upgrades and new releases.</li> </ul> <p><strong>BI Reporting Customer Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide ongoing support, follow up and maintenance to existing applications and systems or workflows.</li> <li>Triage and address issues as they arise based on customer incidents and change requests. </li> <li>Assist in the development and design of system interfaces and data integration to support BI Reporting, Analysis and Application needs.</li> <li>Provides training/mentor assistance to analysts and/or end users with less experience.</li> <li>Coordinates the escalation and resolution of software processing problems with vendor support specialists.</li> <li>A strong advocate and representative for the end-user; which may include providing support for operationalized products and iterating on the information received from end users. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Professional Development </strong></p> <ul> <li>Participate in appropriate activities that enhance general knowledge of or ability to do assigned work.</li> <li>This includes, but is not limited to, the following: attend classes, seminars, and other training forums; attend staff meetings and other informational sessions; read vendor documentation, trade publications, or other sources appropriate to position; interact with peers and other employees to receive and disseminate information.</li> </ul> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <h2>Required Qualifications</h2> <p><strong>Education/Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li><p>Master’s degree in business or computer science or related field and four years of work-related experience in the information technology field; <strong>OR</strong></p></li> <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or related field and six years of work-related experience in the information technology field; <strong>OR</strong></p></li> <li><p>Associate’s degree in business or computer science or related field and seven years of work-related experience in the information technology field;
